What types of Humour do Thais Like?
Thais love most sorts of witty humour. Wordplay, clever witticisms, and humour that involves playing tricks or making a joke will fill them with amusement. They enjoy subtlety and deadpan humour.
Sarcasm, however, is best avoided. It is too cutting and cruel for their taste. The word is derived from the Greek for cutting flesh!
They would appreciate listening to the following exchange at a Norfolk country fair where a peacock handler was demonstrating his skills with his collection of birds.
How old is your peacock? asks a well-heeled gent.
20 years, 6 months and 4 days
And tell me, how long do they normally live?
At least 20 years, 6 months, and 4 days.
I like the taste but not thr smell. It's banned in most hotels in Thailand
I drink a glass of honey and lemon each night. Any other reader done this.
In Thailand, you can easily get stains when picking fruit off trees, particularly Durian. I rub a cut lemon on my hands for about 3 minutes. They quickly disappear
