How Labour Sees Israel and Palestine.
Question are now being asked why Sir Kier Starmer, leader of the Labour party and leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition, is not supporting a ceasefire in Gaza, and saying that Israel has every right to bomb indiscriminately. Is it because his wife is Jewish?
He has confirmed that he and his Jewish wife are raising his children to recognise their Jewish faith. I quote his very words.
He said he and his wife are “bringing up (their two children) to recognize the faith of part of their grandfather’s family, and it’s very important.”
Calls for a ceasefire have come from many world leaders. In the UN, both Israel, the USA, and the UK vetoed the proposal.
President Macron, in contrast, not only voted for the motion but also flew to the Middle East to try to persuade the ceasefire to take place. The Israelis are targeting civilians and not only Hamas soldiers and leaders.
