McCormick Hospital in Chiangmai was founded by two Scottish philanthropists who also set up a trust fund to allow the Thais to continue running it.

Last year, the hospital introduced higher fees for foreigners!!

Thais have no option but to accept government propaganda. When my Thai wife and I visited the war graves at Kantanaburi (Burma Railway, Bridge Over the River Kwai), she was convinced the Thai government was responsible for the beautiful upkeep of the graves.

She lost Face when I pointed out a plaque showing ALL funds were received from the War Graves Commission.

It’s not the fault of the Thais that they are misled in this way. It’s deliberate government propaganda.
