Monks are just normal people with an orange rope.

Villagers of Inthakin Village in Mae Taeng District are outraged after photos were circulated showing the abbot of their local temple temporarily defrocked and out on a date with a woman.
The pictures are believed to have been recently taken in the past month and villagers have been pouring into the temple to demand answers. The media is not allowed into the meetings and has not been told of results.
The abbot has denied the accusation, saying that the photo merely showed someone who looked similar to him. However, villagers CityNews interviewed have said that they have seen him out of the temple late at night many times.
The abbot was defrocked on the 29th October.
The best excuse yet! “It wasn’t me. It was someone that looked like me.”
Admittedly rarely, but I’ve seen a young monk holding hands with a girl. That was at Sii mung leuan, one of the 3 temples in Kuamung. They were sitting on the wall of the temple. No-one took any notice. Everyone saw but presumably did not or were afraid to comment.
As one of my subscribers observed, it is not done to comment about a monk.
