Sky News caught out Lying and Misleading Viewers
The sky broadcaster, Kay Burley, an extreme right-winger who has been employed by Murdoch for over 30 years, has been caught goading 4 different politicians. Particularly, the Palestinian ambassador to the UK. She kept asking them to agree that Israel “had it coming” with the attacks by Hamas on Israel. She has always supported the Sky pro-Israel, anti-Palestinian stance.
Challenged, she would not or could not provide the source of the words used.
It has now been discovered that she has misrepresented the words of a Palestinian politician. He said that he deplored the attacks by Hamas, but that Israel, over their actions over the last few years, could have SEEN that attacks from an occupied state would eventually come. His reasoning was that, if Israel continued to flaunt UN peace proposals and a discussion of a 2-party state, Palestine would have option but to react.
“They had it coming” implies Israel deserved the attacks by Hamas. The Palestinian delegate had neither implied or said any such thing. He pointedly said that events showed it was likely to happen.
Burley now faces legal action for slander, and punishment from the government watchdog Ofcom.
But, given the pro-Israel views of the West, she will probably just get a ticking off.
There was no mention of Mossad and Netanyahu’s obvious plans of using the attacks as an excuse for inciting war and putting the whole of Palestine under siege, no water, electricity, or supplies. He has said he will reduce Gaza to rubble.
No-one is calling the Ukrainians terrorists for defending an occupied country. Hamas is resisting, the same way that France and Belgium did in the last war.
In World War II, neither French nor Belgian resistance fighters were called terrorists for trying to defend their country against Nazism.
La Libre Belgique played a big part in the resistance effort in difficult circumstances, Leopold having surrendered against government advice.
The Armée Secrète organised the safe movement of allied soldiers out of Belgium, the Comet Line.
